    BEGINNERS' SILVERSMITHING DAY - earrings and pendant

     $300  full day includes material

    Using sterling silver wire and sheet and copper you will learn to create a beautiful pendant and a pair of earrings. 

    Tuition includes learning to:

    • Anneal metal
    • Cutting metal with shears and saw
    • Soldering small jump rings for pendant
    • forming metal with forging hammer and blocks
    • Filing and polishing
    • Create simple findings for earring wires

    This is always a fun day and very popular. You will take home a lovely set of jewellery ready to wear

    BANGLE and RING MAKING WORKSHOP

    9.30 til 3pm  $340 full day includes material

    This is a popular workshop, loads of fun and suitable for beginners and intermediate students. Learn to make a lovely textured bangle and a ring to match. You will use thick sterling silver flat wire for shaping, texturing and soldering.  Learn to:

    • size your metal for correct fit
    • prepare for good solder join
    • anneal, stamp and shape your bangles
    • solder ends to form finished bangle
    • filing, sanding and polishing

    On this full day workshop you will learn basic and intermediate metalsmithing skills including

    • Annealing metal with gas torches
    • Simple soldering techniques
    • Cutting metal using jewellers saw and shears
    • Shaping metal using blocks and stakes 
    • drilling and shaping silver for earrings
    • Etching images onto copper and silver 
    • Finishing an etched cuff and silver earrings
    • Create silver findings for earrings
    • Sanding, filing and polishing
    • Health and safety in the workshop
